The Titanpoker bonus code is great for building a bankroll, but I would argue that PokerStars marketing codes are even better. As incentive to play several hands, PokerStars hands out VIP Player Points (VPPs) and Frequent Player Points (FPPs) to the people that play on their money poker sites. Playing more poker will earn you more points, and the more points you earn, the more cash bonuses and merchandise you'll receive in return.
Until you use a PokerStars bonus code and play any hands on the site, you will have zero VPPs and FPPs. The only purpose of VPPs is to keep track of your VIP level and to keep track of clearing bonuses. FPPs are the redeemable VIP currency, and you use them on VIP tournaments or in the VIP store. In total there are four possible monthly VIP statuses.
Trying a new PokerStars download automatically puts you at the BronzeStar level. Even though BronzeStar status doesn't require any VPPs, it doesn't mean its members are excluded from being rewarded. This status still gives FPPs for sitting at the real money tables, and they can spend the FPPs on standard prizes in the VIP store. At the first VIP level, players also receive Stellar Rewards, cash bonuses deposited into player accounts when they reach special VPP counts. Over the course of a year, a player can earn up to $1,000 in Stellar Rewards.
Once you become a SilverStar by playing enough poker hands to earn 750 VPPs in a month, you keep getting the BronzeStar benefits and also extra SilverStar benefits. To start off, you get an FPP multiplier of 1.5 so that you're able to get FPPs 50% faster. You also have access to special SilverStar merchandise in the VIP store. Last but not least, you can participate in VIP tournaments held weekly and monthly. For 100 FPPs you can buy-in to the weekly $30k tournament, and you are eligible to satellite into the special monthly $100k freeroll.
The benefits start to get pretty good once you hit 3,000 VPPs and GoldStar. Your FPP multiplier is now 100%, and when you spend them, you can buy GoldStar merchandise. This VIP status has even more opportunities to play special VIP MTT poker. You receive a free ticket to the $100k tournament so that you don't have to satellite in, and now you have access to the quarterly $1 million VIP tournaments. These tournaments are held four times per year and most players (including GoldStar members) must satellite into them.
To become a PlatinumStar member, you must play enough hands to earn 7,500 VPPs per month, so you should play your internet slots in those flash compatible casinos only after you've accomplished this. This time your FPP multiplier is increased to 2.5. PlatinumStar merchandise is now available in the VIP store, and now you have an additional chance to satellite into the quarterly $1 million tournaments. You'll have a better chance to win a seat in these satellites because they give more seats than the GoldStar satellites.
You could argue that a Full Tilt Poker download is the best of the Mac compatible casinos, and it all depends on your preference. I'll admit that I like racking up the Full Tilt Points at the Rush Poker Omaha tables, but I also really want to keep my Platinum status. Either way, good luck at the tables!
